Great Loss of Life.
Kokomo, Ind., March 25.- Eight feet,
of water are on the streets in the low­
lands here. A thousands homes are
submerged and their inhabitants arc
perched upon the roofs of their dwell­
ings, waiting for aid. Practically all
boats in the city were swept away and
the people in the flood district are mar­
ooned and foodless. Damage to the
extent of $1,000,000 was done here.
