face, intending to mar her beauty and
make her unattractive to other men,
but the acid penetrated to her brain
killing her.
Twenty persons were drowned at
Maudeville La. Monday, a pier on which
they were standing collapsed hurling
150 persons, mostly women and children
into the water.
