count of the storm which swept the
states of Illinois, Tennessee, Alabama,
Arkansas, Georgia, Mississippi and
Missouri state that the death list will
approximate 200 persons in the states
named while the injured will probably
number eight or nine hundred.
The casualties in Tennessee alone
are reported to be 65 killed and 79 in
jured with several points yet to hear
from. Horn Lake, Miss., reports 40
dead and 100 injured, many seriously.
It is impossible to give an accurate es
timate of the monetary loss at the
present time but it is believed it will
run into the millions.
