W. G. Y. Jones, who in connection
with C. W.,Evans of the Ashland Min
ing Office, has taken over the Elk
creek gold properties situated in the
northeast part of Jackson county, is
arranging to install a large crushing
and cyanide plant on the property at
once. An order has been placed for a
Kent crushing mill of 100 tons daily ca
pacity, and a cyanide plant of the new
Rankin process wherein compressed
air is used with the cyanide liquid to
recover the gold in air-tight revolving
tanks, which shortens the process to a
few hours instead of several days’ time
that is necessary for the old cyanide
process. — Tidings.
