The plant is controlled by K. C. Eldridge, pioneer Independence creamery man, who has won many prizes with his butter at the stale and and other fairs. The building which is new and sanitary, is CO by 30 feet in di mensions, ihe plant and flour made from wheat grown this year will be of a much bet ter grade than from ordinary valley wheat. Cheese, being susceptible to its surroundings, will not cure properly in a painted building, and the floor must be a sufficient distance from the earth. Pre cautions have been taken in this plant for the best results. The factory is paying 57 cents for butterfat at present, and the farmers receive their whey in return.
