Maurice Butler and wife of
Portland spent the holidays with
Mrs. Butler's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Joseph Craven.
Miss Hazel Lorence returned
home a few days ago from visit
ing her sister, Mabel, who is
teaching at Bend, Eastern Ore
gon. She brings back the news
that P. E. Chase is conducting a
small store at Bend, similar to
the one he conducted here.
The natives of Michigan held
their reunion at P. H. Johnson's
residence this year. There were
about thirty present including
Earnest Allen and family of Al
bany, E. Bogert and family of
Salem and G. D. Treat and fami
ly of Falls City. A general good
time is reported.
The annual reunion of the But
ler family took place at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. J. B. V. Butler
on Christmas eve. There were
75 members present, four of
whom were initiated into the fam
ily circle. A most splended
event is reported. The guests
enioved games and dancing and
refreshments. The festivities
Insted till three o'clock in the
morning.
