Cornell professors favoring the short
ening of the varsity course ut the
Foughkeepsle regatta from four to
three miles have directed the commit
tee on student affairs to give the mut
ter serious consideration and take It
up with the officers of the Intercol
legiate Rowing association. The ques
tion of a shorter varsity course was
taken up at the last meeting of the
