The Biggest Pear
We have been seein?, measur
ing and weighing: all kinds of
vegetables and fruit and have had
prize squash, prize apples, prize
pumpkin, etc., but the latest is
is the bi?t?est and best. Mr. Tom
Williams brought to our office
Monday one "pound pear' that
weighed 3$ pounds and another
that weighed 3 pounds. This is
the first pound we ever sav that
had 54 ounces in, These two
pears are declared to be the larg
est ever seen in Independence.
They were grown opposite Tal-
madge at what ia locally known
as Ingersoll.
