stitutional Amendment Fixing Legal Rate o f Interest in Oregon.”
This measure proposes to limit the rate o f interest in Oregon to 5 per
pent. You can, by law, 1ix the rate o f interest in Oregon, but you cannot, by
law, force the loaning o f money in this state, when a much higher rate can be
secured elsewhere. The passage o f this measure would force the withdrawal
o f the millions o f foreign capital which is today loaned on factories, business
and real estate in the state and send your local money owners outside of
tlie state to better investments.
