OREGON AUTOMOTIVE DEALERS’ ASS N.
DEALERS’ MOTOR CAR ASS’N.
NATIONAL AUTOMOBILE DEALERS’ ASS’N.
It can be stated upon good au
thority that the Southern Pacific
is contemplating making a change
of schedule June 1.
This has- led to the rumor that
the Airlie passenger train may be
discontinued which would prove of
much inconvenience to the peoplo
of that section.
There was quite a snappy verbal
encounter on one of our crowded
street cars the other day. A young
woman arose to give her seat to a
sharp-faced elderly woman who had
entered, and as the latter seemed re-
luctant about taking it the young
woman said with a pleasant smile:
iigj i , .ore txauty, you know.”
“Thank you.” was the sour reply
“but one would need glasses to set
the beauty.”
“Perhaps." the young woman re
joined
quietly, “hut none would be
j
required to so ■ the age,” and she re
I sumed her seat.— Boston Tran

set, and that in twenty one days
the eggs hatched more than double
-
one’s money. To a novice the man
M
ner of rolling and cooling, saturat
ing and contriving “air space” is
truly interesting. “The severe cold
weather,” the Dr, said, “did not ef
fect my birds badly for in January,
from 320 hens I sold 540 dozen
eggs, receiving $320.00 for same."
We began to think fruit growers,
rather than poultry growers, suffer
ed from the winter’s sewrity. The
Dugannes have just received a fine
hull dog from Dr. Watts of Port
land. The dog will act as guard ov
er the flock of birds at the home.
We thought it well that the Doctor
does not have his chickens and
watch dog “below the Mason and
Dixon line” as some "coons” would
likely have some cloth removed
from the seat of their trousers. The
dog need not discourage visitors,
imv/ever, as the Dugannes find great
pleasure in expaining the merits of
their successful industry.

Let Us Rebuild Your Old Tires
The life of a tire is not ended when the tread is worn out To discard it is
to throw away the greater part of its value.
With a Miller Ad-On-A-Tire, for a fraction of the original cost your tire
can be made practically as good as new. And it makes it an oversize tire
with all an oversize tire’s advantages.
Our process rebuilds any make of tire with new side walls and the Miller
Geared-to-the-Road tread. This famous tread meshes with the road and
produces positive traction. Every ounce of driving power is utilized, for the
wheels do not slip.
The Miller Ad-On-A-Tire is actually a part of the tire. It is built with
several layers of fabric and high grade rubber. It fits snugly, and cannot creep.
Let us re-mile your worn tires with the Miller Ad-On-A-Tires. Bring
them to us today, and we will show you how to get miles and miles of
additional service.
