Our Dallas friends certainly cannot
' complain that Independence and vicin
ity did not tarn out and attend the 4th
of July celebration, for the town was
depopulated during the day almost.
Now then Independence has the fair
this fall, and we hope our Dallas friends
may join In making It a representative
of county affairs.
A great hue and cry Is being made
about scarcity of money aud hsrd
times, and yet no one seems able to
point any reason for It, excepting lack
of confidence. Lack of confidence In
what? Who Is at the head of our gov

power? What Is Its past record? Can
you point the lack of confidence to
any other cause?

Thirteen banks of Portland have

All such Items will be registered for

outcome of the stringency In the mon

money still tighter. -

Dear sir; Having suffered a great
deal from headache for years and being
unable to get relief until it would wear
away of itself. I saw Krause's Head
ache Capsules advertised. I tried them
and now am never without them, find
ing it the only remedy that will givo
me relief. When I now find a head
ache coming on me I take a capsule
and find the relief instantaneous.

of this invention commends itself to everyone.. Only forty reeonds required

This is the only anti-profanity device ever discovered for binding trunks.
This invention is worth thousands of dollars annually, for the preservation of
good morals, sweetness of temper and the prevention of harsh expressions,
No gentleman or lady can afford to travel without at least one sut of these
