Over 700 members of the League of the Cross renewed their pledges of tem perance yesterday afternoon in Saint Mary’s Cathedral. When the services commenced there were in the cathedral 2,778 young men and old, who had pledged themselves to the cause of tem perance. Archbishop Riordan sat upon his throne within the sanctuary as the cadets entered. The members of the League won many friends yesterday.
