The machinery for Thus. Cline’s steain
laundry arrived Friday.
Mr. Cline is
now waiting for the engine boiler, which
is being repaired at the Ashland ma
chine shops.

great benefit to this city and should lie
heartily supported.
Some little excitement was caused
yesterday by Thos. Burton, who, after
becoming thoroughly intoxicated, “start
ed in,” as he said, “to take the town.”
When refused liquor at High & Taylor’s
saloon, he threatened to “hurt some
one” and w as quickly relieved of a re
volver. He then went down the street
toward the dejsit and managed to get a
Winchester rifle which he hid for future
use. City Marshal Jones compelled him
to give up the rifle to prevent trouble.
Both the weapons that Burton had are
now in possesion of Mr. Jones.
