don Jobber was put in last Friday. As
we stated in last issue, the press is a
brand new one, just from the factory in
Cleveland, Ohio, and is the rest and
latest improved job press ever brought
to Ashland.
The press may be Been in operation
any day of the week, from Monday morn
ing to Saturday night, and all are cor
dially invited to call around to see it,—
the best job printing machine in the city.
The way our marshal quarrels with
some of our citizens is a disgrace to Ash
land. Such an officer should l»e ousted
as soon as possible; he is unfit to hold
the authority ami confidence of a res
pectable, law-abiding community.
It was only vesterdav that he was dis-
turbing the peace in a quarrel with one
of our “retired dentists.” Smith, while
wearing the star of his office, pushed the
dentist off the walk and threatened to
“slap” him, so we understand, ami one
of our business men was obliged to in
form them that if they did not stop, he
would have “the pairof them arrested.”
