tising the national apple show, which
will bo held in KiHikiinn November
15-20. inclusive. This exhibition has
been held for a number of years nnd
the display of the apple production
of the Pacific northwest has been
nmazing. It is a fact not generally
known that the value of this fruit
crop in the Inland Empire of Oregon,
Wiiehington and Idaho for the year
1008 was $15,000,000.
This year I he capital prize of $1500
rih for the best cnrlond of apples
will be divided into $1000 for the first
and $500 for the second priy,e. Prizes
for exhibits of apples on plates are
offered for more than 250 vnrietieo.
