The Portland Market.
POKTLAND. Or., Aug. 18. --Arrivals
of peaches were, somewhat bci
ter Tuesday and some increased ship

Ashland and' Merlin districts. The
market remains in a good position
with fancy stock generally selling at
$1 a box, although some almost
good does not bring above 00c. Oti'y
one brand of Ashland fruit remains
above $1 a box and this sells at
$1.10 to $1.15.
