people resident there of mail ser
vice entirely, except as served by the
postoffiee at Ashland, 25 miles dis
tant. It is probable that an effort will
be made to establish a postoffiee at
Lilyglen or vicinity and secure a
6tar route service to it from Ashland.
At least there is talk of the procedure.
SECRETARY MEYER
TO VISIT COAST
WASHINGTON, June 30. It is an
nounced that Secretary of the Navy
George L. Von Meyer will visit Cali
fornia on a tour of inspection late
this summer. The secretary will
spend considerable time at the Mare
Island navy yard, where he will watch
the workings of the consolidation or
der that recently went into effect
there.
