HAWAIIAN ROYAL PALACE REPRODUCED AT FAIR SEATTLE, June 17. A beautiful part of the Hawaiian exhibit at the A.-Y.-P. exposition is found in the reproduction of the roy npalaeolm reproduction of the royal palace of Honolulu. The struoturo so well known by all visitors to tho Paradise of the Pacific is constructed to cor rect scale, and its handsome lines are made from pure white sugar. It oo eupies a npaco 50 by 60 feet, and the various halls for parliament meet ings and royal receptions are faith fully shown. It was in this building that the once queen, l.mnuknlam, was continea prisoner in her own land, during the emptuous days of the Hawaiian rer- olution. To' its great hall of state, Knlakaua, king and bon vivant, was brought following his decease in the city of San Francisco, and the royal splendors of the pre-burinl ceremony ics were conducted. BOTH SAWMILLS ARE IN FULL OPERATION McCLOUD, June 17. The prelim inary examination of tho men under arrest as leaders of the recent strike in this place was not concluded Sat urday and. was rosumed nt 9 o'clock yesterday. It may take two days yet to completo it. Tho examination is vory rigid. There is quito a large attendance at tho hearing, 'but there has not been the slightest demon stration by any of the recent strik ers. Both sawmills have been stnrtod up full handed, and more men are coming in daily to work in the mills and factories and in tho logging camps. None of them are Itnlians. Some 350 Itnlians have returned to thoir jobs and probably 350 have left. The appraisement of cnbins will be completed in a couple of days more, CHARGED WITH KILLING DEER OUT OF SEASON DUNSMUIR, June 17. Deputy Game Wnrdon A. E. "Flag Day" is more memorable in the historical annals of the National emblem through Hie discovery of a log of Paitl Jones' ship-of-war Ranger, the first vessel to fly the American flag in the face of the Rritons. This log was found nmong relics left hy the late Erastus Perry Jewell, of La ennin, N. II., who died a few dnys ago. It may become the property of the government within n short time. The beginning of the log appears to he in Ihe handwriting of Cnptaia Jones himself, as it bears a resom- blnnoe to a facsmilie of n letter to General Washington found in the Boston pulilin library and taken from the original neli'ives of the Nnlionnl capital. 1 WARDEN AFTER LAWBREAKERS (Continued from Page 1.) was threatened by the fishermen.
