Century It seems us tlioii'-h OUR UNLOADING SALE (if the past few days lias somewhat disturbed the slum bers the peace and quiet of some of our neighbors, and, like "Rip Van Winkle," they are coining gradually out'of their long sleep, but, like the "Rip" of old, they will go back to dozing again. The 20th century is too fast for men of the liMh century i.lea and J!)th century stocks, for people of that kind to succeed m merchan dising in Southern Oregon or anywhere else. We wish to state with all the emphasis at our command that the insinuation that we have in nnj m st'ince marked up the prices on any of our goods, preparatory to marking them down' again, is a falsehood in every sense that the term means or implies a falsehood either deliberate, or a falsehood from ignorance of the facts which, we do not know. . Gentlemen, vou have been aroused from your sleep too late, lhe cobwebs ot night gather about your store the o-rass grows in front and around, while a generous public have given you every chance to make rood.' have" caused to be written on your walls. "Thou art weighed in the hnlaiiec and found wanting." ' We part compauv now. our goal is in front, not behind us. We never intend to let up till that goal is reached and that goal is this to make our store known all over Southern Oregon, not only well known, but farorabli known as one o fits most progressive stores. Every effort of mind and heart shall be devoted to that end. The rest of this week will be devoted exclusively to clearing out entirely all short lots m all departments Ihrough the entire house.
