Turner, superintendent of the Grunts lass schools, were arraigned in the justice court in Orantri Pass Sutur duy morning preferred by the father of Koupnis Ritchie, an 18-year-old ' school hoy, who was threshed by Mrilke and Turner on May 14 be cause he refused to apologize to his teiicher for a trivial offense. The hoy was threshed and then expelled. The boy notified his father in Port land, who came down to the Pass and hud the men arrested on a charge of assault and battery. Young Kitchic, who has an excel lent record in the Grants Push high school both as a student and for de portment, and is president of the high school student body, had a small rubber baud in school, which he was snapping about his finger. His teacher, Miss Mct'onnick, for this trifling ufiense went him from the room and afterwards ordered him to aMdogi.c. This he refused to do, us he stated he had dime nothing to uMiogizt for. She sent him to the principal and he was Vent from there t the superintendent of the schools.
