Young Ladies' Alaska -Yukon -Pacific Exposition
TRIP CONTEST
THE Medford Daily Tribune and Southern Oregonian will give beven urand lours to the Alaska-Yukon
Pacific Fxnnsitinn and various other noints to the fortunate contestants in its Alaska-Yukon-Pacific
Exposition Trip Contest.
PLAN OF CONTEST
Six young ladies and a chaperon will go to the Alaska-Yukon-Paelfic Exposi
tion this summer and every cent of expense from the time of leaving home Birtll
return will be paid.
A Pullman will convey the party, which will start from Medford, to the ex
position. The party will be chaperoned by a Southern Oregon lady, and the contest
ant securing the greatest number of votes will be accorded the privilege of select
ing her.
The party will be accompanied, too, by a representative of The Tribune and
Southern Oregonian, who will look after their comfort and pleasure.

SEVEN FREE TRIPS
Medford and surrounding country has been divided Into six districts, as des
cribed onjhis page. The young lady or woman in each district receiving the highest
number of votes will be entitled to this splendid trip. Vote6 are determined by sub
scriptions. Votes are accorded to the contestants in whose favor they are east
according to the length of time of the subscriptions.
Every young lady or girl In Southern Oregon can enter this, great popularity
contest and the most popular and the hardest workers capture the prize.
Plan of Nominations
Any young lady or woman, who lives in Southern Oregon, is eli
gible to compete in the contest. Candidates may nominate themselves,
or their friends may do so for them. Read over the list of the six dis
tricts, determine which one your friend Is in, and send In your nomina
tion. The nomination blank in this Issue is also good for 500 votes
so use It. The rules and regulations of the contest are simple. The
list of nominations will soon be published, and the voting will then
begin. Get an early start, for the tour is going to be worth while.
Everyone Treated Fair
The accounts of this contest will be kept in such a way that
a contestant may visit the office of The Tribune and check up her
own account at any time, or that of any other contestant, so as to
be satisfied that she is being properly treated. This is a contest In
which hustle and individual effort will find its reward.
This newspaper is conducting this contest and the count will be
on the square. Our reputation and standing back It up.

Anyone can win a nomination prize whether a subscriber to The Tribune or Southern Oregonian or not. All that is necessary is to cut out a nomination coupon printed opposite, fill in the name of some
one who you think can pull a large vote, send the coupon to the Contest Manager, and then see that your candidate gets the hearty support of friends and secures enough votes to entitle you to the $5.00 Nom
ination Prize or at least one of the smaller cash prizes. You can nominate as many candidates as you desire, using a separate coupon for each nomination. MAKE YOUR NOMINATIONS NOW. Don't delay in
making your nominations. Fill out the nomination coupon now and send to The Tribune office at once A little delay on your part may cause you to lose the $5.00 in Gold Prize or one of the other cash prizes.
Rules, Regulations and
Conditions
RULE NO. I Any young lady or woman living in Southern Ore
gon may enter The Tribune's Great Alasa-Yukon-Paciflc Exposition
Trip Contest, having one of the application for membership blanks (ask
for blank) filled out and indorsed.
RULE NO. 2 There will be six separate districts from which to
enter, described in this prospectus.
RULE NO. 3 A new subscriber will be known as one who has not
taken The Tribune or Southern Oregonian for 30 days.
RULE NO. 4 Any district that may have only one candidate run
ning will be declared off and said district will be merged with district
closest to it, an apportionment of contestants from said district added
to the one with which it is merged.
RULE NO. 5 No premium will be given with any subscription
other than the votes given.
RULE NO. 6 Votes are not transferable, and if a candidate drops
out of the race she cannot give her votes to another.
RULE NO. 7 The right is reserved to change or modify the rules
of the contest or add to them, at any time after the opening of the
contest, provided such change Is deemed for the best interests of all
contestants.
