local committee' of the church. Pleased
with the report carried back to him by
the Bev. Dr. Van Waters, who recently
paid an extended visit to Medford -and
looked .over the prospects fox the church
in this city, Bishop Scadding has stated
that he will pay considerable attentioa
in the future to this field.
In all .probability Dr. Van Waters
will accept this pariah and will tak np
his werk here, having recently resigned
from his work at St. David' on the
East Side in Portland. Dr. Van Wa
ters made a very favorable impression
while in this city recently and is report
ed to be a vary able business man aa
well as a minister and for this reason
he may have been chosen by Bishop
Scadding to take charge of this field,
where a new church is contemplated
and where the erection of a business
block will be undertaken in the near
future.
Bishop Scadding will . hold divine
services on next Sunday, which is St.
John's day. Communion will be held
at 8 a. m. Morning pmver and sermon
by the bishop at 11 a. m. and evening
piayer and sermon by Dr. Van Waters
at 7:30 p. m.
The musiBC will be in charge of
Charles Hazelrigg, and Mrs. Hazelrigg
will render a solo. All are invited.

that, wherever the white man has gone
and settled, the apple has followed.
