IT MEANS A LANDSLIDE. There is no gainsaying the fuct that ilie republican lead crs in New. York, Ohio and Jndianu are panic-stricken, and are making frantic efforts to stem the wave of scnti nient upon the crest of which Williain Jennings Bryan is fast being carried into the presidency. Bryan continues to grow stronger every day and there is now every reason to predict lu3 election. 1 The reasons are multifold for this, but chief among them is the demand on the part of organized labor for simple justice, and that demand has been insultingly spurned at the hands of the republican party, although the demand only embodied a request for a modification of the practice of the federal courts that will permit organ ized labor to carry out its true aims and purposes without being haled into court, fined and imprisoned without even the' right of a trial by jury, when only the national rights of peaceable assembly, freedom of speech and of the leave work or to patronize whom they wish are involved. And the fact that the democratic party has taken a courageous position against the abuse of injunctions justly entitles it to receive the solid support of organized labor. A second pertinent reason for the sentiment in Bryan's favor is that the time has arrived when something besides arsenic, bones, dandelions, the balm of Gilead and ice is placed upon the free list. A reform of the tariff is demand ed everywhere, and what can be expected at the hands of the republican party, whose every revision in the tariff has been made at the instance of American trusts, and in each instance has been raised. Virtually all products of iron, steel and tin are today sold from 20 to 40 per cent cheaper ill foreign countries than in the United States, where they are made, a state of affairs that must be changed. The republican party has come forward with an argu ment which when boiled down is to the effect that the grand old party makes prosperity, but that Clod makes hard times. The recent industrial depression and resulting panic are militating strongly against the republicans. A million are out of work, and of those 000,000 are voters. Will the re publican painted picture of a cozy home and a full dinner pail suffice to induce these voters to' change their mind t There are other reasons as pertinent, such as the bank guaranty law, election of United States senators by popu ior vote, TalVs personal weakness, Boosevelt's interfer ence, dissension in republican ranks, lack of an enormous corruption fund and above all the tremendous personal popularity of the Commoner. How is this water going to be sup died most economically and when! it is needod T Owing to the. different elevations of '.ho laud and foothills surrounding Med ford, there is only one practical and fcouomieal way of supplying this water ui.l that is bv 1TMP1NO. Owinff to the enormous amount of WATKIt needed for irrigation, there is my one source of supply that is large enough to supply the demand in the country surrounding Medford, and that tho HOIU'K lil VKR. The city of Medford has an opportu nit y seldom offered, a chance to get water, pure water, in larger quantity ind cheaper than any other proposition. You have only to build a ten-mile nipetino tn Itogue river. For a cravilv svstein vou have to build n line over twice as long. The Condor pipeline will cover thou muds of acres between Medford and Gold Ifny nnd the land owners will not hare to pay $20 per acre tn get it. The water rates of tho Condor coin pany will be less than any ditch com pany. Bear in mind, the prosperity of Med ford depends on tlie orchards. Careful, Berious, conscicntioiis inves tigation of the Condor Water it Bower company proposition will prove that it is better for the people oi Medford and the surrounding country than miv other proposition.
