APPEAL TO SUPREME COURT
IlllXSItOltO, Or., August 20. The
anti-saloon people here are urging the

favor of making the uppe.-il. He wivh
it would cost the county considerable
money and it would talc the Kiiprcuu
court perhaps a year to get a dei-isinn,
and by this time the prohibitionists can
call another election.

Human Ear 160 Years Old.
Way back about the fall of lKXi it
happened that Franklin K. Stark, 85
years old, hale and hearty, cherished a
great pride ami affection for his little
grandson, then 5 years of age. This
grandson became careless when riding
on the hayrack ono day, fell off into
the wheel mid had his right ear cut off
dose to his head.
The edd grand father came forward
then, revealing his true nobleness of
diameter. Said he: "Son, I am an old
man and will soon die. Vanity is al
ready dead in my breast. Have this
new (iermau expert cut off my ear and
graft it on your head."
The operation was done successfully
and the grandson was 80 years old last
Saturday, August 15. He says the ear
is doing fine, thanks to the liberal use
of ( 'olest in M ineral Water.
