will be placed on the New Mexican liuu
which last week closed a contract for

origin which raged from 10 o'clock last
night until nearly daylight this iimming,
destroyed six large bonded warehouses
of the Greenbaum distillery iu Midway,
Wood fonl county, containing 47,fion bar
rels of whisky, burned the Southern
railway trestle and two enmity bridges
nnd threatened the northern part of
Ihe town of Midway. The aclual prop

tion of whisky in bond amounting to
2,300,000 gallons (the lax, of si

garet Neumann threw herself under an
Iron Mountain passenger I rain last
night; lur legs were cut off. Hurried
to the hospital she begged the surgeons
to kill her and end her sufferings. Stu
died there today.
A cinder from a locomotive was
lodged in the girl's eye ten months ago;
severe i n I'ltimiuat ion followed, which (he
most skilfull treatment did not relieve.
Miss Neumann became profoundly meb
oiicholy; besides she had the illusion
that ther parents were about to put
her in u sanitarium. She eluded their
loving vigilance last night and fled
