MYSTERIOUS MURDER OF
WOMAN ENGROSSES OFFICERS

With one suspect under lock and key,
and posses searching today, the authori
ties expect that before night they will
hnvo solved tho mystery of the mnrder
of Mrs. Wm. Morrison, whose throat
was cut while she wns walking along a
railroad track with a small girl.
Shortly after the crime wns reported
by the girl, u posse captured a mail who
is suspected of having guilty knowledge
of the crime, because he could not
tfive au account of his movements for
the time it wns committed. '
Mrs. Morrison was walking leisurely
when the murderer suddenly sprang
upon her and cut her throat. Hho died

expiring search is being made for the
poll books which were used' iu the re
cent primary election, out of which has

The disappearance of the books from
flic vaults in the county auditor's ollice
has created a seusatioa, and today the
lenders of both sides are making charge
against each other. How the books not
away from the vaults no one seems to
know, but the fact remains that 'they
are nowhere to be found. Both parties
claim the election by a large margin.
