It appears I but houm where back in

county .judge who secured bis position
by divine right, and each Hiieei'eding

elder Hll that fell heir to tbe throne,
and with this inheritatu-e has gone cer

made the statement thtit it would re
inire twenty, fifty, yew, a hundred
years to build mads in Jackson cmiu
ly, but after all Ihn judge's remarks
were consistent, as bin knowledge
bused upon past experience.
What we all want In up to date men
who will employ up to dale methods;
and secure good highway for tbe pre
out generation, that can bn enjoyed in
thin life. Mecanse grandpa went to bed
with n candle in no reason we should
use candle today, and because our
good cousins in the oitst have, put up
with bad mads for genera t tons is no
reason we should continue tr waddle
in the mud, or confess ourselves unable
to solve the simple problem before us.
What Jackson county has done, in
times past is no criterion of what it
can do today, what it should do, and
what it will do. There are twice as
nuuiy people hern ns five years ago,
and there will be twice as mnny more
in another five years.
No problem is too great for tin ener

Land Owners, Attention!
There are hundreds of acres of hid

If you are expect ing to wait till sum
