Mr. Miller, the new manager of ftutte
Falls Lumber company, is contemplating
tho erection of a summer residence in
the town.
Butte Falls is the coining summer re
sort of Jackson county, as it possesses
all the features for an attractive resi
dence point for both winter and sum
iner. The woods being filled with game
and the waters with fish, while the air
ami drinking water are all that the most
exacting can desire.
The temple of justice will soon have
its exterior and interior finishing com
plete and Judge Pentz will be in the
seat of justice ready to hear and deter
mine complaints.
Tt. F. Edmonson will build himself a
home in Butte Falls, he having bought
a desirable lot for that purpose.
Inquiries for Butte Falls business and
residence lots are increasing and prop
erty is advancing upon the strength of
the contemplated movement in mill mat
ters. Tho own camp has a new manager
for the sawmill.
The country roads are gradually im
proving under nature's treatment, and
our people - take much interest in the
excellent work of the Tribune, and it
has many friends in hearty accord with
its views and commend its action in
stirring up the "county ring."
Newbury had workers in the field on
election day. but they soon left when
they learned how solid the precinct was
for Mulkey.

drawn for his new residence, which he
will soon build.
Butte Falls will likely bo incorporated
(his summer, and we will set about im
proving local conditions.

The beautiful red touring automobile
called the Pacific, and owned by .1.
M. Hoot and son, appeared upon the
streets of Medford last Saturday af
ternoon for the first time. The Pa
cific car is the result of the work of
Messrs. Hoot, who designed the model,
and had the car produced according
to their specifications.
The Pacific has 1 OS-inch wheel base,
four-cylinder. water-cooled engine,
Bosch imported high-tension magneto,
and in fact all of the very latest
equipment, bringing the Pacific strict
ly up to thcininute in automobile pro
duction. The Pacific has a double
chain drive and a loinch clearance
between t he hubs, can show a speed
of t miles an hour and is a great hill
climber.
Messrs. b'oot control the factory out
put of tho Pacific automobile, a name
which they have copyrighted. This cm
is built: to meet the demand for a high
grade automobile at a reasonable price
which will do the work required by
the owners of machines on this coast.
The main sales office will be in Mod
ford.
