undiscovered country across the range.
Mr. Ploasanls had been apparently
iu his usual health, and during the day
had boon about his usual duties. After
dinner ho went to the depot to moot

at T. M. Jonos' office and registered as
nu elector. With ii joke and a smile

walked through the diatng room ho
sank to the floor and eipired without a
word or sigh.
Peceased was born at Vevay. In..
September 21, l4o. He came to Ore
gon and to this town in PWl and has
fineo boon n highly respected resident
of this community. Ho is survived by
his widow, one daughter and one son,
Fny and Glenn Pleasants, and two step
nous, J. K. Hottwoll of this place and
Arthur Hoswell of Krainott, Cal.
