OOOO HIKIHO OUTLOOK

(Continued on Page 4.1
The mining outlook for the vicinity
of Gold Hill was never more promising
than at the present time. On nearlv
every train men arrive from all see
tions of the country to look over some
of tho .properties that arc on the mar
ket here. Practically all of the larger
quartz properties are being worked and
all the placer mines now have an abun
danco of water. Two new stamp mills
have been built within the past vear
and many other steps of advancement
have been taken. Tho preliminary work
of installing the big electrie shovel on
Kanes crook has been completed and
its installation is delayed only on ,nc
count of the non-arrival of the machin
ery. Tho boom in the Nevada country
is over and now the eyes of the. mining
workr will turn to a country where
more practical mining and less wildcat-
ting can and will be done. It is bein
demonstrated every day that the ledges
or wiuinern uregon nave depth, a fact
that is generally disputed 'by mining
men who are unacquainted with the
country and its formation, and whea
this is generally known money will b
more readily secured for working the
ledges that are now laving idle, Fot
the outward appearances we predict a
busy year among the mine in the vi
cinity of Gold Hill. Gold Hill News.
