Thaw's Case Postponed.
WHITE PLAINS, N. Y., Sept. 22.
Arguments on Harry K. Thaw'a ap
plication for a jury trial as to his
sanity In habeas corpus proceedings
berore Supreme Court Justice Isaac
N. Mills, was adjourned today until
next Saturday at the request of Dis
trict Attorney Jerome, who has been
unable as yet to prepare his return
to the writ. In the meantime Thaw
will remain In the White Plains Jail.
Justice Mills was impatient at the
delay and said he would render his
decision speedily after the case Is
railed before him. If be decides to
deny the Jury trial. Thaw will have
to return to Matteawan, unless the
bankruptcy proceedings In Pittsburg
should In the meanwhile take auch k
turn that Thaw would be transferred
there under the authority of the
United States court.
