Stevens was circulating a good roads subsoription paper in Medford Wednesday and within a very short time over $100 was sub scribed. The road improvements asked for are to be piaosd between Thos. Riley's plaoi and the Bradshaw ranch, a distance of about three and halt ir lies. Before coming to Med ford he secured subscriptions to the amount of $315 among the farmers living in the neighborhood of the pro posed improvements. The roads are siioky and they want them oovered with orushed rook. It is expeoted that the oounty will help materially in tbis work.' Died In Medford, Maroh 29th, Mrs. Euphama Edmondsou, aged sev enty-six years. The remains were ta ken to Eugene, her former home, for interment. The lady had only resided in Medford a short time, and was ill only one week. -Arthur Wells has started the street sprinkler again. He seoured a longer list of patrons this year than last, and is promising to give ub good ser vice. He did the job well last season and if he does as well, or better, tbis season all patrons will be satislled.
