The work which has been in prog
ross on tho Fish Lake ditch for thr
past month has been that ol enlarging
tho ditch from the head gale to Fjigle
gulch, a distance ol lourteon or fifteen
miles. The hoavy out, the largest on
the line, on tho Olay Charley ranch,
which Is being excavated to a depth of
fourteen feet and for 50 feet in length,
la practically completed. This leaves
only about two and one-half miles of in
completed ditch on the lands of Jumct
Miller and Bert West. About thirty
davs' lime will bo required lo build
this section of ditch to the 10,000 inob
standard. Tho flume gang, working
under Foromnn W. C. Daley, resumoo
work last Monday and it is not thought
there will be any lurthor Interriiptiom

Nebraska, where ha will visit with his
children for six weeks or two months

put down in front of the K. of P. build
ing. The work is being done by E. T.

F. M. Centers, of Antelope creek,
left at Palm k York's last Saturday
a bunch of wheat heads that would take
a blue ribbon'atany fair. They wore
of the big Blue Club variety and were
m big as young ears of corn and con
tained five kernels to the mesh and
were of extraordinary size and plump
ncsB. Mr. Centers has ISO acres of this
wheat and he is sure that it will yield
not less than forty bushels to the acre.
