Last Saturday, as Ralph Friend was coming from the Itiohards saw mill with a load ,of lumber, his wagou run into a hunk.i and while trying to get It out the horses started and the front wheel of the wagon run over his leg, between the nee and ankle, tie succeeded in topping the .team just the hind wheel struck his body; the wsgon was heavily loaded and hud the wheel passed over him, he would undoubtedly Jiove been killed. He lam there for about tbreo hours hoping that some ono would come along and render him assistance, but as no one came he finally orawled around, unhitched his team and got on one of his horses and rode to where he oould get water, then oumo back to his wagon and tayed all night, being unable to walk a step.
