Captain Richard Philip Leory, com

Robert Baldwin, aged 20, the son of
Rev. Barny Baldwin, pastor ot the Bap
tist church, Kitts Hill, O., was shot
and killed by Salmon Ferrel. Baldwin
had trouble with Charles Webb, who
had been reprimanded by Rev. Baldwin
for disurbing a meeting. Webb and
Ferral waited at the church until young
Baldwin came out, when they assaulted
him, and Ferral shot him through the
heart.
Fire broke out in the S. Menken com
pany dry goods store at Memphis, Toun.,

tents, causing a loss of $450,000, with an
insurance of $5,000.
