Returns from 267 preciucta io state of Washing ton give the following vote on con gressmen: Jones, Republican, 14,931; Cush ruan, representative, 14,625; Lewis, Fusion, 12,912; Jones, Fusion, 12, 253. The vote for supreme judges is practically the same as the vote for congressmen. These returns embrace nearly one-half the vote of the state and indicate that the Re publicans will have close to 5,000 majority in the state. Babcock, of the Republican cen t al committee, received a telegram from Seattle, Wash., staling that the Republicans had carried both C ngressional districts in that state. This, with other advices, absolutely ensured, he claims, the election of ISO Republicans in the next house NEW YORK. New York, Nov. 9 Revised re turns make practically no change in those of last night, which showed election of Roosevelt by a plurality of 18,000 to 20.000. The state's congressional delegation probably will stand 15 Republicans and 19 Democrats. Democrats gain 12. Legislature is Republican on joint ballot by 32 votes. MONTANA. Helena, Nov. 10 Congress Campbell, (detu) is elected. The leg's'ature is Democratic. Complete returns will not change this. CALIFORNIA. San Francisco, Nov. 10. Cali fornia has gone Republican with more emphasis than ever before. The entire state ticket, with the possible exception of secretary of state, are elected. The Republicans claim in San Francisco, 221 pre cincts out of 303 give Gage 20,063; Maguire, 18,022. The fight for the mayoralty of San Francisco has been eagerly contested, and the result is yet un certain. The indications are, how ever, that Jas. D. 1'helan, the pres ent mayor, will be re-elected by a small majority. WISCONSIN. Milwaukee, Nov. 10. Returns are far from complete and indicate that Scofield, Republican, is sure of election by 2C.000 plurality. The legislature is overwhelmingly Re publican. DEI.EWARE. . Next legislature stands: Repub lican, 29 ; Democrats, 23. The Re publicans will-elect a United States senator. UTAH. The Democrats have elected Roberts to congress and carried the legislature which will elect the TJnited States senator. NEW JERSEY. Voorhees (rep) plurality tor gov ernor, 8000 to 10,000. There will be a Republican majority and will insure the election of a Republican senator. KANSAS. Both parties ' claim the state, Chairman Albaugh, of the Repub lican slate committee, claims the state for Stanley, (rep) for governor, by 6000, and Chairman Riddle, of the Fusion committee, claims the Btate for Leedy,'Fusion, by 11,000 NORTH DAKOTA. Faiwo, N. D., Nov. 0. Today's figures, though lar from complete, make a Republican majority certain on I ho state ticket from 4200 to 4800. It is es ti muted the Republi cans will have a majority in the legislature on joint ballot of 30. Spalding, Republican, for congress, leads the ticket by 500 to 800. TKNNKS8KK. The majority for MoMillin, Dem ocrat, for governor, estimated at 10,000 to 20,000. The Democrats have a majority in the loRielnture. MICIIUIAN. Governor Filigree is u gain elected by about 50,000 majority. The leg islature will have a Republican majority. MARYLAND. Maryland has returned four Re publican and two Democratic con gressmen, after an extraordinarily close but entirely listless election. This is a Democratic gain of two. ALABAMA. A solid Democratic congressional delegation was elected from Ala bama. General Joseph Wheeler was unanimously re-elected in the eighth, not a single vote being cast against him. FLORIDA. The entire Democratic ticket is elected. KENTUCKY. The Republicans carried only one ccngrtssional district, the eleventh. MINNESOTA. Uuofticial and incomplete, but apparently reliable returns indicate that Liud, Fusion, for governor, hus been elected by a plurality of 10, 000. Five out of seven congressmen are surely Republican. LOUISIANA. Democrats carried the entire state electing six congressmen. NEBRASKA. Belated returns continue to in dicate that Nebraska has turned a political somersault and has landed in the Republican column. 317 precincts outside of Lincoln and Omaha show a republican gain of 4787. The first and second con gressional districts are republican, the third and sixth fusion aud the fourth aud sixth in doubt. ILLINOIS. Returns from every county indi cate the election of Whittemore, re publican treasurer, by a plurality of 30,000. The majority for other republicans will probably not ex ceed these figures. In the legisla ture the house will be Democratic aud the senate Republican. SOUTH DAKOTA. Burke and Gamble, republicans, surely elected to congress. The republican state ticket, except gov ernor, is elected. Both sides per sistently claim the governorship. INDIANA. The democrats concede a repub lican majority in state of 10,000. KENTUCKY. The democrats made a sweeping victory. WYOMING. It is believed that Wyoming has gone Republican on state and con gressional tickets in majorities ranging from 1000 to ,1800 votes. The legislature is also undoubtedly Republican. TEXAS. Major Savers, the Democratic nominee for governor, has a major :ty estimated at 200,000. Every district returned a Democratic con gressman with the exception of the tenthf and an official count will be necessary to decide this district, WEST VIRGINIA. The indications are that Dovener (rep) first congressional district, has 1500 majority; Dayton (rep) second, re-elected. The legislature is in doubt. NEVADA. Returns from the state indicate that McMillan (rep) is elected gov ernor. ARKANSAS. All of the old congressmen were re-elected. Dinsmore, in the fifth district, being the only candidate who had opposition. MISSOURI. Returns are far from complete. I6roGer.es. . That word moans a lump to every housewife. Chairman Blacker, of the Demo cratic state committee, concedes the state to the Republicans by over 40,000 plurality, and Chairman Daugherty, of the Republican stale committee, claimed about 60,000. The Ohio congressional delegation remains the same as at present, 15 to 6, each party carrying precisely the same districts as at the presi dental election two years ago. Washington, D. C, Nov. 9. Re turns establish to a certainty that the United States senate will have a Republican majority after March next. Of present Republican total of 45, the terms of seven senators expire March 4, leaving 38 hold over Republicans. To this the elec tions of yesterday adds ten Repub licans surely elected, and three probably elected, making total 43, or two more than a inaioritv over Democrats, Populists and Silver Republicans together. There are 21 Democrat holdover senators and to this yesterday's election added four with a certainty and one prob ably, giving total of 25 votes. The Populist and Silver Republican holdovers number 8, and this was increased yesterday by one prac tically sure. The returns received by the As- - sociated Press at 3 p. m. indicate the election to the bouse of 1G7 Re-1 nnblicans 164 Denim-ram P.uui. pUDllcans, 104 democrats, 1-opU- lists or Silver Republicans with 29 districts in doubt.
