In the face of this there are perhaps those who will ear advertising doesn't pay. One by 0:1a Medford is giving a black eye to the shipments of the necessaries of life into oar city by manufacturing the. articles herself. There was a time when ice was shipped from outside towns to sup ply Medford but otir lively little city ha3 reversed the order of things and now we do the shipping. The Medford business college building is nearly completed and ' with the coming of next September it will be opened as a business col lege and normal school. As this is the only school of like nature in Southern Oregon its success is an assured fact. Already the man agement has the assurance of some thing over an hundred pupils for the fall term and as many more have writteu regarding terms, it is safe to presume that the building's ' capacity will be well taxed. A fact which is worthy of consideration arid appreciation by our citizens is that whil3 the institution assists materially in advertising our citv to the world as the educational center of Southern Oregon it as well assures the expenditure of many dollars among our merchants that would not otherwise reach them.
