There have been some reports during the week of damage to crops in France and Belgium. Continental mar kets have not seemed to be as weak as the markets in this country. There has been verv good foreign buying of wheat 'at the Atlantic seaboard every day. But this buy ing has not been of sutlicient force to give any strength to the market. But it has prevented the precipitate decline which generally occurs at this season of the year. The re ceipts at western markets are libe ral and they seem to be increasing. Millers generally are moderate buy ers of wheat. The exports last week were the lightest since the crop really began to move. The visible supply last week increased nearly i million bushels. It is impossible to hold prices of wheat up at this ieason of. the year when the weather 4is fineAhe crop pros pects good and supplies in store not decreasing. : Mrs. Ed Shefflin, from Oakland, Cal., arrived hero Friday noon. .
