Production includes seedlings, rooted cuttings,

aspects of production including propagation,
growing, plant nutrition, pesticides, irrigation,
harvesting, grading, inventory, cold storage,
shipping, equipment and facilities, personnel,

Requirements : B.S. or higher degree in
horticulture, forestry, or related field from an
accredited institution. Minimum five years’
experience in nursery management of a bare
root or container wholesale nursery. Physically
capable of serving as an active manager with
considerable time in the field and warehouses.
Proven supervisory and staff development skills.
Equally at ease performing management and
production duties in the nursery and in the office
dealing with planning, budgeting, production
records, customers, government, vendors, and
the public. Proven team leader and team player.
Only U.S. citizens will be considered. Must have
a valid driver’s license and clean record.
Knowledge : Extensive knowledge of woody
plants including ability to identify species,
propagation, cultural management, and end
uses. Computer literate. Proficient in Microsoft
Office and Windows based programs.
