Magazine BAKER CITY — Food, music and all the animals you’d want to see can be found at the Baker County Fair, Aug. 9-12 at the fairgrounds in Baker City, 2600 East St. “We have quite a few vendors this year,” said Kylie Siddoway, who is work- ing as the fair intern this summer. The fair will be open to the public from 9 a.m.-9 p.m., Tuesday through Friday. Admission is free. Animals are a mainstay of the coun- ty fair, and visitors can see a variety of showings throughout the week. “There’s something going on all day,” Siddoway said. Wednesday is full of market classes, and Thursday is for showmanship. The grand champion market animals are chosen starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednes- day, Aug. 10. The showmanship round robin is held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11. The livestock auction starts at 6 p.m. IF YOU GO The Baker County Fair premium book has a detailed schedule of the week’s events. The fi rst is Frank Carlson, who plays from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Olivia Harms takes the stage Thurs- day, starting at 7 p.m. Barley Brown’s will have a beer garden from 4-9 p.m. both nights. VENDORS Fairgoers will have a selection of food to choose from. The 4-H concessions stand will be open all week, and there will be vendors off ering treats such as Your Adventure Awaits!
