Main St. The show runs through Sept. 9. This exhibit focuses on a wild land- scape — untouched and undeveloped. “The Wild Landscape exhibit will cel- ebrate Imnaha’s diverse and wild lands,” said Dawn Norman, Josephy exhibits director. “This means the landscape is the focal point no human-made objects visible in the art works.” Friday’s reception, from 7-9 p.m., will include the announcement of winners, hors d’oeuvres and drinks available for purchase. ABOUT THE SHOW Every year, the Josephy Center cele- brates Wallowa County’s natural beauty through a Wild Landscape Exhibit, and this year the chosen subject was the diverse landscapes of Imnaha. Imnaha is located northeast of Joseph along Highway 350. The Wallowa County Chamber’s website describes the area: “This country is very diff erent than the Wallowas. You will enter a zone of high grasslands, rock cliff s, and mountain val- leys. The Imnaha area was historically an important wintering site for the Nez Perce and their herds of horses. Later, cattlemen took advantage of the warmer environ- ment of the Canyon to graze their herds.” The Josephy Center’s regular hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, visit josephy.org.
