On Jan. 5, 1952, Imie married Wayne Bristow. They welcomed their first daughter, Cheryl, on Oct. 7, 1952, and their second daughter, Becky, on March 17, 1956. She was the Cove 4-H leader for 14 years, then she and her husband started the Cove Wrangler Rodeo Club, competing in rodeos in Union, La Grande and Elgin. If they were short riders for a rodeo, she would fill in. She also trained and showed Welsh ponies professionally. Imie also had a passion for bowling. She was on several different bowling leagues for 20 years, traveling to other states to compete. In 2014, she was chosen as the Cove Cherry Festival Grand Marshal with her best friend and first cousin, Cecil Puckett, and in 2017, they were chosen as the EOLS Grand Marshals. Scott Bohnenkamp June 16, 1952 - June 18, 2022 Scott George Bohnenkamp was the oldest of two sons born to George and Betty (Rogers) Bohnenkamp on June 16, 1952, in La Grande. Scott spent his life in the woods and took great pride in being an accom- plished logger, machine operator, me- chanic, and auto body man. He was also an avid hunter and fisherman who spent many years logging with his son Mike. The two stayed in regular contact throughout the years and Mike went to every effort to protect and help his father until the very end. Scott’s biggest love was perhaps his many dogs through the years which were close to his thoughts and heart in the confusion of the last few months of his life. Scott leaves behind his mother, son Mike, six grand- children, two great-grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Dummy. Scott did not want a funeral, so instead his son will return him to the woods in a private memorial and those who wish to honor his life can raise a glass in his name. The family would like to express our gratitude to Brandon Tanzey for his selfless efforts throughout this ordeal.
