This feel-good indie dramedy from co-
writers and directors Tyler Nilson and
Michael Schwartz stars Zack Gottsagen
as a young man with Down syndrome
who escapes from an assisted living
facility to pursue his dream of becoming
a professional wrestler. He quickly forms
a tight bond with Tyler (Shia LaBeouf ),
a wayward fisherman on the run. Dakota
Johnson, John Hawkes, Bruce Dern and
Jon Bernthal co-star.

Ken Marino directed this engaging
2020 romantic comedy featuring a large
ensemble cast in a story that follows the
intertwining lives of several canines and
their Los Angeles owners. Among the
principal characters are Mike (Michael
Cassidy), a veterinarian; Dax (Adam
Pally), a musician; Ruth and Greg
(Jessica St. Clair, Thomas Lennon), Dax’s
pregnant sister and her husband; and
Elizabeth (Nina Dobrev), a morning TV
host.

At the behest of a crime boss, car thief
brothers (Scott Eastwood, Freddie Thorp)
have a week to pull off the heist of a
vehicle — or else — in this 2017 action
adventure from director Antonio Negret
(“Seconds Apart,” “Transit”). Ana de
Armas, Gaia Weiss and Simon Abkarian
also star.

Superpowers aren’t necessarily a benefit if
you don’t know how to use them properly,
as the comrades at the heart of this 2012
sci-fi tale learn quickly. Dane DeHaan,
Alex Russell and Michael B. Jordan
play the central trio, which largely uses
the “Blair Witch Project”-“Cloverfield”
approach of amateur videotaping to show
the events as they unfold. The result
effectively depicts ordinary people in
extraordinary circumstances.
