His death was a result of complications brought on by a 20 year struggle with Parkinson’s disease. At his request, there will not be a public service. Larry was born on January 4, 1948 to Leo and Marie (Kruse) Snyder in Green River, Wyoming. He gradu- ated high school in Fairbury, Nebraska and went on to attend college in Omaha, graduating with a degree in electronic engineering. Larry served in the US Army Signal Corp while stationed in Vietnam. His career was spent repairing and servicing televisions, radios, audiovisual equipment and computers. He and Judy were married in 1979 and enjoyed 42 years of marriage. Larry lived his personal life “the cowboy way” and any- one who spent much time with him knows his motto was “It’s not the easy way, but it’s the cowboy way.” Larry had a soft spot for all animals (excluding one nas- ty rooster) and at a young age fell in love with horses. He bought his first horse with money saved from his paper route and at every opportunity was either riding, breaking, training or caring for his horses. He loved horseback riding with most anyone and his favorite riding companions were a group of friends affection- ately nicknamed “Snyder’s Riders.” He loved rides into camps in the Minam and Hells Canyon, for hunting or for fun, and often took the role as camp cook. He spent the majority of his time the last 23 years enjoying his family and grandchildren, his home and his horses. Larry is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Kris (Garrett) Pedro and Jeff Garrett; his grandchildren, Ga- brielle, Kaylyn and Aiden; and his great-granddaughter, Hazel Rose; sisters; Joyce Spencer and Cleo Snyder and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo; mother, Marie; brothers, Har- old and Lee; sisters, Jeanne Clark and Betty Larkin. Charitable donations in his memory may be made to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, PO Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD, 21741 or to a charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.lovelandfuneralchapel.com.
