Classes are priced at member and nonmember rates. Student memberships are $18 per year (or $1.50 per month). JUNE Fun with Shapes — watercol- or class for kids: June 14, 10 a.m. to noon. Taught by Becky Litke. Children ages 7-12 will learn how to visualize and paint a stained glass image. Cost is $16 members, $24 nonmembers. Summer Dance Camp (Ses- sion I): June 15-17, June 22-24 and June 29-July 1. Instructor is Debbie Friedman. Times are 9-10 a.m. for ages 6-8, and 10:15-11:15 a.m. for age 9 and older. Cost for this three-week class is $72 mem- bers, $108 nonmembers. Tie Dye with Ginger Rem- bold: June 17, 6-8 p.m. Learn a variety of tie-dye techniques. All supplies are provided except pre- washed 100% cotton items (limit of 10 per participant; fee of $1 per item). Cost is $16 members, $24 nonmembers. Children ages 8-10 can attend for $5 with a paid adult. Landscape Painting — wa- tercolor class for kids: June 21, 10 a.m. to noon. For ages 7-12. Kids will learn how to paint skies, moun- tains and trees. Reference material and supplies will be provided. The instructor is Becky Litke. Cost is $16 members, $24 nonmembers. JULY Missoula Children’s Theater “Johnny Appleseed”: July 5-10; limited to 30 students from kinder- garten to 12th grade. Cost is $40 members, $60 nonmembers Ms. Amy’s Dance Classes (ages 7-10): July 5-8, July 12-15, July 19-21. Time each day is 1-1:50 p.m. Taught by Amy Martin Fried- man. Students can take one week or all three weeks. Weeks that have four days cost $32 members, $48 nonmembers; the three-day week of July 19-21 costs $24 members, $36 nonmembers. Ms. Amy’s Dance Classes (ages 11-18): July 5-8, July 12- 15, July 19-21. Time each day is 2:15-3:45 p.m. Taught by Amy Martin Friedman. Students can take one week or all three weeks. This is both an introductory and advanced class of the Indonesian and Indian art of batik and is open to ages 12 and older. Cost is $20 members, $30 nonmembers. “Animal Movement Safari” — pre-ballet for ages 3-4: July 16, 17, 23 and 24, 1-1:45 p.m. each day. Instructor is Dianne Guzzle of Boise. No dance experience is necessary. Dancers will learn basic movement techniques and imitate how certain animals move. Cost is $40 members, $60 nonmembers. “Dancing in the Magical Garden” — pre-ballet for ages 5-6: July 16, 17, 23 and 24, 2-3 p.m. each day. Instructor is Dianne Guzzle of Boise. Using visualiza- tion and pretend play, students will learn about life in the garden mixed with a little magic. Cost is $40 members, $64 nonmembers. “Improved Freedom of Move- ment” — beginning/ intermedi- ate adult ballet: July 17 and 24, 10 a.m. to noon. Taught by Dianne Guzzle of Boise. This is for ages 16 and older. Ballet experience is rec- ommended but not required. Cost is $32 members, $48 nonmembers. Recycle It: Imaginative Art Creations: July 22, 6-8 p.m. Ginger Rembold leads this class to explore creative ways to use a variety of recycled plastics, metals, woods, etc. Cost is $16 members, $24 nonmembers, or $30 for a family of three or more. The supply fee is $5. This is for all ages, but children age 5-12 must come with a paid adult. Creative Bookmaking: July 29, 6-8 p.m. Led by Ginger Rem- bold. Students will create three different small journal-size books using origami techniques, enve- lopes, scrap papers and cardboard. The class is open to ages 12 and older. Children ages 8-12 may at- tend with a paid adult. Cost is $16 members, $24 nonmembers. The supply fee is $5. AUGUST “Meet the Artist” — youth class: Aug. 13, 1-4 p.m. For ages 8-14, although ages 5-7 may attend with an adult helper. Led by Ginger Rembold. Children will learn about three famous artists, then produce three works of art in the style of each artist. Cost is $24 members, $32 nonmembers, or $50 for a family of three or more. There is a supply fee of $5. Glass Etching: Aug. 19, 6-8 p.m. Taught by Ginger Rembold. Learn to cut stencils and create indi- vidualized glassware using etching cream techniques. Bring three to four pieces of glassware. Cost is $16 members, $24 nonmembers. There is also a $5 supply fee. Ribbon Flow: This three-day workshop meets Aug. 20 from 4:30- 5:30 p.m., Aug. 21 from 1-3 p.m., and Aug. 28 from 1-3 p.m. Cost is $40 members, $60 nonmembers. Supply fee is $20.
