Sonic then finds allies in a sheriff and the lawman’s wife (James Marsden, Tika Sumpter) while fleeing to San Francisco. From writer/director Chloé Zhao (“The Rider”) comes this drama movie that stars Frances McDormand (“Fargo”) as a woman who travels through the American West and lives out of her van after losing everything in the Great Recession.
