How long ago did you do the Christmas
special?
Oh gosh, we shot the Christmas special – I don’t
even remember. Was that summertime? I think it
was summertime. Gosh, I feel like everything this
year is just one big blur. It’s so weird. This has been
the quickest but shortest year of my life.

Doing a Christmas special in summer in Los
Angeles had to be a bit surreal, no?
Yeah, I mean I don’t think it was quite as crazy as
Sofia’s (Wylie) Christmas in the Arizona desert.
I think she was doing hers – I believe it was like
in the triple digits. I think she was like well into
a hundred degrees in the middle of the desert
shooting her stuff at like 6 a.m. So I give mad
props to her and the crew that pulled that off
because her number looks fantastic.
But no, it was really, really fun. Interesting to have
Christmas stuff in the middle of summer. It was fun though. I love Christmas and I love the holidays
and I could be down to have holiday stuff all year round.
Do you get to go home to Arkansas for the holidays and do you see snow?
Oh my gosh, yeah. So not nearly as much as here in Utah (the series is shot in Salt Lake City)
but that’s the cool thing about Arkansas, is like I got to grow up in a place that gets like all four
seasons. So in your summertime, you are really hot and humid and in your wintertimes you’re
really cold, dry and snowy, so it’s amazing.

But yeah, I get to go home every year to see my family. Knock on wood, I’ve never missed a
holiday with my family so hopefully with the pandemic and everything going on, with shooting
and everything, hopefully I get to continue that tradition and go home and see the family for the
holidays.
