JOSEPH — The Josephy Center
will join the Oregon Historical So-
ciety for a free, statewide conversa-
tion hosted online through Zoom on
Tuesday, Nov. 17, at noon.

The program is titled “From
There to Here: Understanding
White Nationalism.” The virtual
meeting will include a conversa-
tion with Elinor Langer, Leonard
Zeskind and Steven Wasserstrom
of the Oregon Jewish Museum and
Center for Holocaust Education.
The program takes place in
honor of the 32nd anniversary of
the murder of Mulugeta Seraw, a
28-year old Ethiopian immigrant
who was killed by three Portland
skinheads on November 13,1988.

“We are all, alas, too familiar
with the labels — white nation-
alism, white power, alt-right,
right-wing extremists, neo-Nazis,
fascists, ethnonationalists — but
what do we know about members
of these movements? Who they
are? Where do they come from?
And what do they stand for?

tive conversation between three
distinguished experts and col-
leagues who have been studying
the answers to these questions for
