Art class: Stack Rings on
Dec. 12 at Josephy Center
BAKER CITY — Ginger Rem-
bold will teach “No-Sew Banners
and Wall Hangings” Thursday, Nov.
19, from 6-8 p.m. at Crossroads
Carnegie Art Center, 2020 Auburn
Ave.
Cost is $16 members, $24
nonmembers. Children younger
than 12 can attend for $5 members,
$7.50 nonmembers, if accompany-
ing a paid adult. There is a $5 sup-
ply fee for all participants.
Participants will learn how to
turn fabric into colorful wall hang-
ings using iron-on adhesive. All
bonding materials provided, plus
plenty of fabric. Bring scrap fabric
on hand to add to the mix and an
old iron if available. Use the pro-
vided patterns or create your own!
Get a head start on holiday gift giv-
ing – lots of Christmas ideas plus
multiple ‘nature’ type. Take home a
fi nished product ready to wrap.

JOSEPH — The current exhibit
at the Josephy Center for Arts and
Culture, “Hello from Lockdown,”
can be viewed virtually at www.
josephy.org/hello-from-lockdown.
Visitors are also welcome at the
center, 403 N. Main St., from noon
to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday,
and noon to 4 p.m. Saturday. Face
coverings and social distancing are
required.
For this show, artists were asked
to submit artwork created during
the stay-at-home order. “Hello from
Lockdown” closes Nov. 18.
JOSEPH — Instructor Dona
Millers will lead a class titled
“Stack Rings” on Dec. 12 from 10
a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Josephy Cen-
ter, 4-3 N. Main St.
Cost is $50 (includes kit fee,
bench fee and use of tools).
Mix smooth, hammered and
twisted textures to create your
own set of stack rings. Participants
will be creating a set of stack rings
using round and twisted wire, and
use fusing techniques to create the
rings.
If you have a torch and ham-
mers, bring them. There will be
tools available for your use in class.
The class will be working with
Argentium Sterling Silver; these
rings can also be created with Fine
Silver. No experience necessary.
Pre-registration required. For
everyone’s health and safety masks
are required while at the Josephy
Center.

The Ornament Expo debuted
Friday, Nov. 6, along with the duo
show of Nancy Coffelt and Jessica
Faulk. The Expo runs through Dec.
24.
“Christmas at Crossroads: The
Gift of Art” opens Friday, Dec. 4.
The art center is back to regular
hours: Monday through Saturday,
10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Face coverings are
required when inside the building.

4-H and OSU Extension are host-
ing the annual Christmas Bazaar
on Dec. 4 and 5 at the Baker
County Fairgrounds show barn,
2600 East St. Hours are noon to
5:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, and 9
a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 5.
To reserve a vendor space, call
the Baker County Extension Offi ce
at 541-523-6418. Tables are $40
each. There is no charge to attend
the bazaar, and there will be ample
parking. Local artists, crafters,
cooks and others will be selling
their wares at the event.

gether Art Bags, free of charge, for
aspiring artists of all ages during
the days of social distancing.
Chalk pastel, puffy paint, water-
color, stained glass, collage, and the

Art bags are for locals only. To
