MASQUERADE FOR REAL ON OCT. 31
BAKER CITY — Since masks are required anyway,
the Geiser Grand Hotel is planning a Masquerade
Dinner on Saturday, Oct. 31.
“We’ve been wearing masks for a while — now let’s
make it a party!” said Geiser owner Barbara Sidway.
Cost is $49 adults, $19 children. Price includes a

BAKER CITY — The Geiser
Grand Hotel is ushering in the
Halloween season with the annual
Witches Weekend, Oct. 23-25.
Seances with limited tickets are
planned for Friday and Satur-
day nights. Advance tickets are
required due to state-mandated
COVID restrictions.
A light dinner with dessert will
be served following the seance.
A nightly “Witching Hour” is
set for 9-10 p.m. in the hotel bar,
sponsored by Glacier 45 (enjoy a
complimentary “witch’s brew”).
Sunday at 12:30 p.m. is the
Black Hat High Tea, a three-course
lunch. Hats and gowns are optional
but prizes will be awarded.
Pricing for the dinner/seance and
high tea is $39. Other options are
$15 for brunch, $10 for readings
and $5 for the tour and classes.

• 4:30-5:30 p.m.: Magic 101

• 10-11:30 a.m.: “Ask the Witch”

• Noon-1 p.m.: Magic 101 Class

• 2:30-3:30 p.m.: Step Back in
Time Tour
• 5-6 p.m.: Candle Magic Class
• 7-10 p.m.: Dinner and Seance
• 9-10 p.m.: Witching Hour in
the Bar
SUNDAY
• 12:30-2 p.m.: Black Hat High
Tea in the Palm Court. The menu
features lavender or Earl Grey
tea, fresh baked scones with lemon
curd and butter, sandwiches (egg
salad, chicken salad), carrot ginger
salad, mini creme brulee and Voo-
Doo Cookies.
• 2-2:30 p.m.: How to Train Your
Fetch Class
• 3-6 p.m.: Readings
• 2:30-3:30 p.m.: Step Back in
Time Tour
• 4-5:30 p.m.: Candle Magic
Dinner menu
The dinner menu features soup
and salad, fresh baked bread, ice
tea and fruited water. Dessert will
be cheesecakes with a variety of
toppings, plus other sweet treats.
All COVID health guidelines will
be followed, including face cover-
ings and social distancing.
